My name is Marcus Lilja and I am 26 years old. I am currently studying for a Master of Science in Interaction Technology and Design at Umeå University, as well as working part time as a web developer and designer at Easit AB. My education, part time job and additional projects have made me realize that I want to focus my attention and upcoming work on interaction design, graphic design and information design.

I would prefer to use my in-depth knowledge of technology to enhance and simplify daily interaction and make it usable for every one. It doesn’t really matter if the technology is a phone, car interface or any other device or service. It is the interaction between humans and technology that is interesting.

Easit AB

Easit is a medium-sized company located in Sweden who are working with software development. During my years at the university, I have been employed at Easit as a web developer and designer on different projects. The two main projects I have been in charge of are their external website and their online documentation and help system called Infocenter.

Krook & Tjäder

• Within the project I worked with the following areas

Arkitekterna Krook & Tjäder is an architecture and design bureau located in Sweden. In the summer of 2011 I was asked to be a part of the redesign of their current website, by being responsible for creating a user-friendly CMS system. During the project I worked closely with Niclas Andersson, who was responsible for the graphical design of the new website.

Tactel

• Within the project I worked with the following areas

In the spring of 2010 myself, Oskar Qvarnström, Erik Långström and Peder Boberg worked together on a DLNA project for Tactel. The goal was to make a visually appealing and user-friendly web interface for customers to use when configuring their mobile clients for their upcoming DLNA service. The project was a success and the work was used in their product.

Socialtjänsten Umeå

• Within the project I worked with the following areas

As a course in interaction design at Umeå Institute of Design we did a project with Umeå social services. The goal with the course and project was to help the social services to get a better overview over their available resources and activities. The solution needed to work with both new users and experienced users. During the project i worked with Erik Långström.

IceTag the app

• Within the project I worked with the following areas

During a coffee break the last week before summer me and my classmates decided to make ice cream eating a competition. To make it more fun, all the ice cream experiences was geo tagged and stored a short description. Myself, Oskar Qvarnström, Boel Rödin and Erik Långström spent a weekend creating the mobile web application.

Uniaden 2009

Uniaden is Umeå University’s career fair which occurs in january every year and works as a bridge between companies and students. Each year a new project group is selected to carry on the work from last years project group. During 2009 i was part of the marketing team with focus on the website. The design was made with help from Jonny Strömberg.
